- Workout & Eat Well
I hope you won’t mind me being a tad late to the party but I figure, better late than never right?
It’s still January 2018 so of course there is still time to make those quite (not at all) crucial 2018 resolutions and goals for the year ahead.
These ones in particular came around a bit later than expected but we were in the gym when I realised actually they are pretty damn important! Especially since I have already thought about my style goals!
I was actually chatting with one of the trainers and I just casually dropped in that I was going to go hard in the gym this year on a major weight loss kick and his reply kinda surprised me. The reply was that I didn’t need to worry too much because I was already a regular at the gym, that this wasn’t a ‘fad’ for me.
It really made me take pause as this year I’ve really felt certain that if I want to make any changes they have to be healthy, sustainable ones. No fads, no crash diets and no more getting mad at myself when I should be encouraging myself instead.
As a two part post I’ve firstly gone on a healthier approach to dieting, or better yet, healthy eating. We are actually trailing the Joe Wicks programme and so far its been a fantastic meal planner! Focused not on fads, instead it focuses on making sure you are eating the right things and the right time and to feed yourself for the actual activity that you are doing rather than just eating everything!
What we also really like is that it is focused towards workouts which is something we are already pretty good at!
2. Be kind on myself in this journey.
The last part is giving myself a break on making myself feel bad in the meantime and dressing in ways which are forgiving and make me feel good.
It’s odd coming back to this blog at the moment because my ability to be vulnerable here feels like something I can’t do. Honestly, I think part of that is just getting back into the swing of things here but also because I feel so incredibly changed since the last time that to catch you all up feels a little scary.
Over a few years so much has changed and developed and I have been hard on myself in the meantime so much so that this year is a little bit about being kind to myself. And that I reckon qualifies as a wellness goal!
This top is an excellent one of those. Not in the slightest bit clingy, it hangs great and feels super comfortable. While I work on my physical body a little mental support is always advisable and this outfit is a great one. As well as keeping up with the gym every other day we are also implementing more, everyday exercise and to do that it’s all about super comfort for me!
