It’s the holiday season. We’ve all gone gah-gah for dressing up, I’ve even purchased a pink velvet high neck tank top. Yes, I went there. That being said I also have to question myself and other bloggers at this time of the year. Sure, a sparkly, star embroidered dress is gorgeous to wear for occasions, but how often do you have those occasions?
I know for me personally I have one Christmas event and then other than that we are more jeans and PJ’s kind of people than getting dressed up to the nines so here we are. Me, chatting your ear off about jeans.
These jeans above I bought in the sale (I know, I know) but I have wanted rip-less jeans for forever and if I have to buy them at 80% off? Well thats just the decision I’ve got to make. The thing is I am pretty loyal to the New Look Jenna jean (particularly when they are priced £25.99 – £27.99, they just have the best fit). They are beyond comfortable with their elastin to cotton mix and you just can’t go wrong! The downside however? They seem to all come with rips; on the knees, down the legs, they love a good rip and although I do as well, I can wear jeans to work and those rips? Not really going to work for me…
Where I went however, is Dorothy Perkins. When this blog began way back when I swore by their Bailey jean and somewhere along the line we just fell out of favour with one another. When I saw these I decided for that price? I’m going to give those a chance!
I’m not sure if the fit is 1000% for me in comparison but these are really good jeans guys. I’m not paid to say this but for the price (even full price) I really think they are a worthy investment and honestly if your gonna need something a little unexpected for Christmas it’s probably a pair of jeans.
How I styled these was a full, denim on denim affair. This great red and white striped jumper t-shirt is worth keeping an eye out for in January’s Zara sale (It was originally only £17.99) and it is going to be perfect for once we are transitioning out of winter and also for making many a winter layer! Also are you a university student because this is the where’s Wally T for you!
Of course if you are going casual this time of year it is also nice to rock something a little bit more lush to the touch! This faux fur was from Zara last year but there are lots of lux versions out there for this year! A suede bag! Yes to suede guys, its so nice to fill your wardrobe with believe me! and of course, those blue suede boots! Can you get anymore Elvis?
Keep your eyes peeled for another Christmas essential! PJ’s!!!! yes lounge wear is the ultimate christmas gift and purchase I’m 1000% sure everyone loves as well! Christmas all! It really is the greatest time of year …
